Tyler Area C4

Image title

What?

C4 introduces Smith County students to professionals in a variety of industries and fields. In an all-day discussion format, professionals from around the region share information about their career and their path to it, allowing students to learn about industries in the region, the education required to get into those careers, and more.

Why?

By inviting professionals to discuss their careers with students, those students can learn more about what work after college looks like. These discussions also help students make decisions about their postsecondary education.

Who?

Local professionals and Smith County students.

How?

C4 is a relaxed discussion format. Local professionals present information about their jobs, helping students get to know all of the options that are available to them.

Each session will allow for students to ask questions, get experience interviewing, and receive feedback on their resumes.

Application

Students will submit an application that includes

  • A brief essay
  • Current resume
  • A career area of interest
  • A “soft skill” topic to discuss

Application packets are available online and at local schools.

When?

Spring semester
