$ for College helps students and counselors navigate the application process for grants, financial aid, and other postsecondary education resources.
Why?
Applying for financial aid can be very difficult, especially for first-generation college students whose parents are not able to help them.
Who?
The $ for College program helps graduating high school seniors and local guidance counselors.
How?
Counselors are invited to attend a professional development session held each fall.
Students are invited to an evening work session at their high school with administrators, the TABEC team, parents, and guidance counselors who will help them to work through their application for financial aid and resources.
When?
For counselors - Each fall.
For students - Multiple sessions in the spring semester.
